The project

Terminal 1 (300,000 m²) of Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport required a full-scale renovation, having been open to the public since 1973. The project involved bringing the buildings up to regulatory standards and completely redesigning the architecture after preparing the site and partially demolishing the existing structures.

The baggage handing system was overhauled with more check-in desks.

The construction work took place in four successive phases, each representing a quarter of the building while the remaining three-quarters stayed open.
